Why do I need the Charge Attempt?

Each transaction includes a Charge Attempt, which contains additional details about the transaction. Every successful transaction has at least one Charge Attempt. The Charge Attempt includes many detailed pieces of information, such as:

• Auth code
• Masked card number
• Credit card expiration date
• Terminal ID

How can I find the Charge Attempt based on a Transaction ID?

You can find additional data and labels on the Charge Attempt. If you want to retrieve the Charge Attempt for a specific transaction ID, you need to use the Charge Attempt Search Service and create a query like the example below. This will return the Charge Attempt and all associated labels:
