Protel
Overview
The Protel integration enables hotels to connect their Protel Air or Protel On-Premise system with Wallee Portal. This setup allows seamless handling of both e-commerce and POS transactions, ensuring all payments are automatically processed and reconciled correctly.
The integration supports tokenization, terminal transactions, and backend payment mapping to streamline hotel payment operations.
Installation
- Go to Apps in your space.
- Click on Install under the Protel App.
- Confirm by clicking Install Protel Integration App.
- Set CHF as the default currency and copy the generated credentials (username, password, URL). These credentials must be configured in the Protel backend to allow the system to call the terminal interface.
These Protel installation settings are displayed only once. Make sure you store them securely and forward them to your integrator of Protel. They need this data to install the EFT2C Interface via their integrator console. Never send the credentials in plain text by e-mail; use a secure channel (e.g. a password manager share link). Reinstalling the app generates new credentials and invalidates the old ones, so make sure your Protel integrator always has the latest set.
Payment method mapping
To ensure Protel can map transactions correctly, the following payment method IDs must be provided in the backend configuration. Select the table of your card acquirer and hand the IDs to your Protel integrator together with the credentials. TWINT and PostFinance Card are always processed via wallee, so take their IDs from the wallee table regardless of which card acquirer you use.
