Accounting Summary
π Accounting Summaryβ
The Accounting Summary is a report that reflects the changes on all relevant customer-level accounts managed within Wallee Portalβs sub-ledger. It is designed as a simple reconciliation and reporting tool and is not intended to replace a full ERP or accounting suite.
π§Ύ What It Doesβ
The Accounting Summary:
- Shows changes across accounts for a selected currency and time period
- Aggregates account activity similar to what is displayed in the Journal
- Does not provide starting or ending balances β these must be tracked in your ERP or accounting software
- Supports basic reconciliation by showing net movements per account
β±οΈ The report is usually generated within a few minutes. Data can be downloaded as a CSV file.
π‘ Key Conceptsβ
| Concept | Description |
|---|---|
| Sub-ledger | TheWallee Portal internal journal across AR, AP, and revenue accounts |
| Debit column | Indicates an increase in the account during the selected period |
| Credit column | Indicates a decrease in the account during the selected period |
| Currency filter | The report is always generated per currency |
| CSV Export | Enables external processing or manual import into ERP |
π¬ Example: If an Account Receivable appears with a value in the credit column, it means that receivables decreased during that period (i.e., payouts were received).
π Typical Use Caseβ
At the end of a financial period:
- π― Run the Accounting Summary for the relevant currency and timeframe
- π Identify how your receivables and payables have moved
- π΅ Review revenue and settlement changes per processor or account
- π§Ύ Use the output for basic reconciliation or tax review
- π Export the report and manually book the net changes into your general ledger
π This report is not intended for daily bookkeeping, but to support periodic financial closing workflows.
