Email Sender

You have the option of either sending emails via your own SMTP server or using the standard sender that uses our infrastructure. Our standard sender ensures that the sender and reply addresses are set to your e-mail address.

You can set this sender as the default sender. In this case, all emails will be sent with this address. Otherwise, you must ensure that you link the email sender directly to the various email triggers in the connector settings if for some reason you only want to send one type of email with a different sender.

Default Email Sender

The default email sender sends the email via our email servers. You have the option to specify your Sender Name and your Reply To address.

Click here to create a new sender using the default sender. Click Create email sender in the top right corner and select Default sender as the type. If you set this sender to default, all emails will automatically be sent with this sender.

SMTP Sender

Alternatively you have the option to send the email via your own SMTP Server. In this case we connect to your server to send the email. For this you will have to configure the SMTP configuration in your SMTP Sender Configuration in your Space.

We do support the following server ports:

  • Port:25 STARTTLS is used
  • Port: 465 SSL is used
  • Port 587 STARTTLS is used

In case the e-mail can not be sent due to a connection error between us and your mail server you will see a log entry in your log.

Click here to add a new sender via your own SMTP server. Click on Create e-mail sender in the top right-hand corner, select SMPT and add your SMTP access data.

Sending certain emails with another sender

The default sender of a space applies to every email unless a sender is set closer to the message:

  • Connector settings — open a connector under Space > Payment > Configuration > Connectors to choose which email types it sends and which sender they use.
  • Charge flow level — a level of type Email can carry its own email template and email sender, so payment requests can go out under a different address than the rest of your emails. See Charge Flows.
info

The email templates under Space > Settings > Customization > Email Configuration do not carry a sender of their own. Transaction emails such as authorization, completion, fulfilment or refund confirmations are therefore always sent with the sender that applies to their connector, or with the default sender of the space.
