Shopify
Shopify is a Canadian e-commerce company based in Ottawa, Ontario. It builds software for online stores and point-of-sale systems for retail businesses.
We have a direct integration with Shopify's payment gateway, which means you can process payments using your preferred payment methods directly in your Shopify store.
Shopify has changed how payments work on their platform. You now must install the new Shopify Payments app to continue processing payments.
Two capabilities are no longer supported with the new integration:
- Shopify Subscriptions — recurring payments via Shopify's native subscription feature are no longer available.
- Integrated payment form — the payment form now redirects to a secure hosted page instead of being embedded in the Shopify checkout.
How to set it up
To accept payments in Shopify, follow the step-by-step guide — it takes you from activating the feature in your space to seeing the payment method in your Shopify checkout.
| Page | What you will find |
|---|---|
| Shopify Integration | The step-by-step set-up: activate the feature, create the integration, install the app, activate the payment method. |
| Integration with Wallee Portal | The full reference: connecting your store, payment processing, processor configuration, the state graph, transaction management and line item support. |

Shopify is a plugin with an integrated feature: you activate it in your space rather than installing an extension yourself — see Overview for how that differs from the application-user route used by Magento, WooCommerce and Shopware.
